Director of Printing Services- Jeri Ireland

Jeri has been employed with WVU since 1975, holding positions within the Finance Department as Assistant Director Controllers Office, Director of Administrative Services, Director of Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Chief Procurement Officer, Director of Business Services; which incorporated seven major divisions within her scope of responsibility which included: Risk & Insurance Management, Procurement Services, Payment Services, Business Development, Contract Management, Expert Business Operations, the University Mail Services and now as Director of Printing Services & the University’s Copier Management Program. Jeri has been associated with higher education institutions since the 1960’s when she started working at Johns Hopkins University.

Jeri has completed undergraduate work at the University of Baltimore, West Virginia University, earned her Business Certification from the University of Kentucky College Business Management Institute, Certification of completion in 2001 of the MBA Essentials Course from WVU Business & Economics Executive Educational Program, has completed NACUBO, SACUBO and Oracle higher education business and leadership classes, is a charter member of the WV Higher Education Administrators Association, completed 2011 Certification in Basic HIPAA Privacy Training.

As the first woman to be appointed to a major position in the WVU Controllers Offices, as Assistant Director, she was commemorated as part of the WVU Women’s Centenary Day Celebration in March 1991. A photograph and description of contributions made to the WVU Controllers Office and West Virginia University are enclosed in a time capsule, placed in Woodburn Circle, which will be opened and displayed at the 200th anniversary celebration for the Institution.
